The Hash House Harriers Kulai had successfully organized its 1st Treasure Hunt on 26
June 2010 covering a distance of over 100 km from Kulai to Desaru via Kota Tinggi. It also set the precedent of being the first club to bring Treasure Hunt activity to the hashing
communities in Malaysia and perhaps the world.
This 1st Treasure Hunt received an overwhelming response and support from members of
the club with a total participant of 161 strong which included 75 Kulai hash members, 76 family members and 10 guests. This also recorded the largest outing group in The Hash House Harriers Kulai’s history.
A total of 35 cars participated in the Treasure Hunt with varying number of participants in each car. All cars were labeled with number and stickers of Kuali HHH, Michelin Tyre and Total Oil Malaysia. The Treasure Hunt started on 9.00 AM from Restaurant Ji Guan, Kulai and to end before 4.00 PM at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort. At the start, each car was then given a road map, a set of question paper and an answer paper. Referring to the road map, participants were guided to the first question and so forth. A total of 38 questions were to be answered. These questions covered a wide spectrum including history, geography, literature, nature, language, science, current affairs and etc.
All participants had successfully completed the Treasure Hunt with most of them arrived the Lotus Desaru Beach Resort before 3.00 PM well ahead of the deadline. They were then indulged themselves in the nature and tranquility of the Resort.
Free flow of beers started from 3.00 PM at the Rhu Bar near the beach. A very good BBQ dinner was then served at 7.00 PM. During the dinner, questions were explained and answers were announced. Cash prizes totaling RM950.00 were given to first ten winners.

Each participant received two T shirts, one sponsored by York Air-conditioner and the other by Michelin Tyre. In addition, about 70 presents were given away in the form of lucky draw.
Overall, it had been a very successful event. The Treasure Hunt was very educational and interesting. The venue was correctly chosen and its accommodation was excellent. Foods and beers were in abundant. Sponsorships and presents were sought to the maximum. From responses received, all participants expressed great satisfaction in this event.
